It seems that it wasn’t a long time ago that flatscreen TV’s were introduced into the market. We are still choosing the best LED HDTV models when manufacturers are introducing to us their latest 3D TV models. Although they still number a few and are not commonly seen in electronic stores, these TV set are going to be the next step in TV technology.
Are you ready for 3D TV? If you need to stay at the forefront of technology and have the budget to spare then getting one would be a great way to experience 3D technology. If you just need a TV that provides an excellent theater like experience then it would be cheaper to get an LED HDTV.

If you are ready to get a 3D TV 2011 models and experience a unique way in viewing movies then here are some of the most highly recommended models.

Panasonic TC-P54VT25
The Panasonic TC-P54VT25 is a 54 inch model that uses plasma technology. To be able to enjoy 3D quality films you would need to wear the included battery powered 3D glasses. This model can accurately reproduce the details of the film in its screen and is fully 1080p compatible. Watching a film in this model is a great experience due to its huge size and large viewing angle.

LG 55LX9500
The LG 55LX9500 is the perfect model to have when you want to save in space. Its thin profile is due to the LED technology it uses. Its screen size of 55 inches makes it the perfect candidate to watch 3D movies. Like other popular models, you will still need to wear special 3D glasses that are battery operated to enjoy 3D content.

Summary
Owning a 3D television is great if you want to enjoy 3D films. However, because of the need for specialized glasses that viewer have to wear it still can’t match the convenience of LED or LCD HDTV’s that you only need to turn on and enjoy watching immediately. This minor inconvenience has not stopped the number of people buying the various 3D TV models available from different manufacturers as more and more films are being produced in 3D.

Three-dimensional television (3D Television), once the stuff of dreams in science fiction movies, is to become a reality in British homes by next year (2010), after Sony announced plans to implement the technology across its range of products.
The technology, currently only seen in the cinema, will be rolled out in the Japanese electronic giant’s range of TVs, laptops, DVD players and Playstations by end of next year.
Experts say the move, announced at a trade fair in Berlin, is an important boost to the 3D industry.
From several types of 3D technology, Sony has opted for “active shutter” technology, using electronic glasses containing tiny shutters that open and close rapidly in synch with the television image to create a 3D impression, unlike Cinema 3D that uses ‘polarisation’ technology with simpler glasses. But this technology requires that the viewers are at a certain angle to the screen, making it less suited to home viewing, reported the Financial Times.
