LED TV’s – The Future of TV

Televisions used to be big and heavy: the big screen TVs of the nineties could have weighed up to five hundred pounds; they were simply a hassle from the time of purchase until the set was put in its permanent place.

Now with flat screen televisions people have the luxury of getting that big screen without the hassles of yesteryear, and now the flat screen can hang on the wall. Before, there were two types of flat screen televisions, LCD and Plasma. With these designs there were typically a few flaws. Only recently a new design was brought out called the LED TV and it has the best characteristics of both previous designs.
Most people enjoy the home cinema experience and now these LED innovations in television technology allow for high picture quality, stylish space saving designs and low energy consumption all of which comes at a very reasonable price.

There were two problems with previous kinds of flat screens, the LCD would not show true blacks, which means the screen is limited to how dark the images it is capable of producing. Whilst with plasma models, the whole picture tended to be much darker. Today’s best LED TV offers a solution to both problems. The best LED TVs are brighter than even the brightest LCD TV and at the same time offers a truly black picture when needed.
